Shindo Shigeharu Shoten, the family business behind the Miyone brand, is located in the town of Shikokuchuo, Ehime prefecture. This prefecture has long been known as a mandarin-growing region, and its current harvest volume ranks second among Japan's largest.

Headed by Mineo Shindo, representing the second generation of this family, the company prides itself on hand-processing citrus fruits from local farms. Farmers use organic fertilizers, reduced pesticide use and advanced cultivation techniques based on their vast experience to grow citrus fruit.

The company's philosophy is to use fruit grown according to organic or low-pesticide farming practices to preserve the environment and the natural flavours of citrus fruit. The production process of this artisanal company is highly automated. Many tasks are carried out by hand, allowing us to take particular care in the manufacturing process.

The citrus preparation and jamming process takes around 2 1/2 days. The attention paid to the fruit enables the company to obtain a zest that is non-sticky, smooth and tasty

Yuzu, kawachi bankan, iyokan or blood orange, these natural treats can be used in many ways. Ideal for original desserts or as a snack!
