This finely ground green tea from the spring harvest is a ceremonial-grade matcha. It is ideal for preparing usucha, the matcha that is enjoyed on its own.
Flavour profile: smooth, silky, very floral and with no bitterness.
Conventional preparation for usucha
- Add 1 teaspoon of matcha to a tea bowl.
- Pour 60 mL of hot water (~75°C).
- Whisk the mixture for 10 seconds.
- For a matcha latte, add this base to ½ to ¾ cup of hot, frothy milk.
- For an iced matcha latte, add this base to ¾ to 1 cup of cold milk with ice cubes.
Ingrédient: Green tea.
